Tin robot on Karel ?apek’s grave: “
Giles sez, ‘Karel ?apek was the man who brought the word ‘robot’ to the English language with his play ‘Rossum’s Universal Robots’ or ‘R.U.R.’ in 1921. When I visited his grave in Prague a couple weeks ago, someone had left the perfect memento – a small tin robot.’
(Thanks, Giles!)
I’ve alwys liked Tin robots, I have a few. -mc
