What to Expect From Apple’s Developer Conference

The Highlights

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference begins at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Here are the anticipated highlights:

• Apple plans to finally reveal the new streaming music service it has developed with Beats Electronics, the company it acquired last year for $3 billion.
• Apple has said it will introduce tools enabling third-party app developers to gain deeper access to the Apple Watch, which would lead to faster, more capable apps.
• Following its usual tradition, Apple is expected to introduce enhancements to OS X, the Mac operating system, and iOS, the mobile operating system.
• Apple was expected to introduce a new Apple TV, along with a tool kit for third-party app developers, but those plans have been postponed.
• Apple has in the past kept “one more thing” under wraps, so there’s always room for a surprise.
