Kristen Wiig Channels Game of Thrones’ Khaleesi, Creates Tonight Show Magic | Vanity Fair

Kristen Wiig Channels Game of Thrones’ Khaleesi, Creates Tonight Show MagicBY JOSH DUBOFFTwo years ago, Kristen Wiig appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and did an impersonation, of sorts, of Michael Jordan, delighting the Internet—and so began a great Fallon-Wiig talk-show tradition. Wiig then showed up to The Tonight Show “as Harry Styles” last year, and it was similarly considered a grand success, in this viral-video economy we now live in. And last night, she returned once again to Fallon’s show, this time donning the blond wig of none other than Daenerys Targaryen (dragon perched on shoulder, natch), and the results are wonderful. It’s almost best to go into this clip with as little information as possible; and, if you’ve never seen an episode of Game of Thrones before, don’t worry about “not getting it” or anything like that—it would seem Wiig hasn’t seen an episode, either.
