Crowley vs. Wicked Witch
“Aleister Crowley, “The Wickedest Man In The World,” Meets His Match With The Wicked Witch Of The West, From ‘”The Wizard Of Oz'” Who would win? My money is on the witch. Crowley may have been pals with Aiwass, but the witch was boss of those nasty Winged Monkeys. I got a kick out of this simple and fun image from coffin_person‘s Flickr stream, where you can also find other witty photo gags.

Hipstamatic Offers Incredibooth App Free This Weekend [Daily Freebie]
Snap your Halloween party pics right by taking photobooth-style shots from your iPhone with Hipstamatic’s Incredibooth — offered free over the weekend.
What’s in store?
Haus O’ Haunt Booth (requires iOS 5) promises “three ghostly effects.” (By my book that’s pretty much anyone in full costume, face paint and a few beers, but your mileage may vary.) Then there’s an Isoblak Booth (“Go monochrome or go home”) and Crown Colour Booth – which promises to regale those green Frankenstein faces in rich, jewel tones.
The folks at Hipstamatic assure us this one may be spooky but it’s got fewer nasty bugs (the kind that were causing crashing issues), so it should make immortalizing those wacky moments a scream.
If you try it out, send us pics!

In a 1954 issue of Mechanix Illustrated, the magazine ran a wonderfully rosy piece titled “FLYING SAUCERS FOR EVERYBODY!” This short piece detailed how flying saucers would ameliorate arduous commutes in the far-out year of 1965. More »
