I’ve had access to FM12 for some time through my Technet<\/a> membership. I have now blasted through the new features several times. On the whole it make the apps you build look brilliant through easy-to-use CSS formatting. This Rapid Application Development tool just got faster. It’s integration with the iPad with Filemaker Go is also brilliant. \nI was once fired from a Kaiser contract position because the layouts created by the principle developer were, shall we say, ugly-on-a-stick. Developers now have no excuse not to create smartly designed Filemaker apps for desktop, iPad and iPhone deployment ( my wife hates the word “deployment” says it sounds like I’m storming the beach at Normandy). <\/p>\n
. Moving to 12 will make the development process better, faster, deeper, harder, etc.
\nThere is also a fascinating integration\/upgrade of Container Fields that allows of movies, interactive media, PDFs, signed documents and more. I’ll be addressing these features in the weeks to come.
\nNothing makes a Filemaker Developer happier than a good upgrade, and this one is a winner.
